Midas VFX Celebrates Andor Emmy Win

London, September 2025

Midas VFX is proud to celebrate its role in the Emmy-winning success of Star Wars: Andor S2 at this year’s 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The ground breaking series was honoured with the award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie, a testament to the artistry, innovation, and dedication of everyone involved.

Adding to the celebration, Paolo D’Arco, VFX Supervisor at Midas VFX, received an individual Emmy for his role leading the Midas team on Andor. Paolo’s vision and technical mastery were instrumental in shaping some of the show’s most iconic sequences, from large-scale set extensions to the tense blaster battles that have become a hallmark of the series.

This marks a significant milestone for Midas VFX, underlining the studio’s growth from a boutique London house into a trusted partner on world-class productions. Working alongside Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic, and the wider production team, Midas contributed over 1700 shots across the season, helping bring the galaxy of Andor to life with the highest creative and technical standards.

“We’re honoured to see Andor win and even happier to see our own Paolo D’Arco take home an Emmy” said Marc Hutchings, Founder and Head of VFX at Midas. “This achievement reflects not only Paolo’s hard work but also the recognition of the Midas team’s hard work by our clients. We couldn’t be prouder.”

With Emmy, BAFTA, and VES recognition across its portfolio, Midas VFX continues to deliver industry-leading work for some of the world’s most ambitious film and television projects.
