With the Emmy Awards taking place this weekend, Midas VFX is proud to celebrate two projects close to our hearts The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 and Andor Season 2, both nominated for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or Movie.

Across these two landmark shows, our teams delivered more than 1,700 final shots per show.

From MiddLE-Earth to A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY:

Emmy Recognition

On The Rings of Power, our artists tackled an expansive range of visual challenges: motion controlled scale shots for Dwarves and Harfoots, extensive bluescreen work, set extensions, de-aging, sword extensions and gore effects each crafted to seamlessly integrate into Middle-earth’s epic canvas.

For Andor, we contributed to some of the show’s most memorable sequences: from high-intensity blaster fights and hyperspace tunnel journeys, to intricate bluescreens, set extensions, and detailed cleanup work ensuring that the series maintained its cinematic authenticity across every frame.

We are deeply grateful to our talented teams whose creativity, precision, and dedication made this work possible, as well as to our collaborators across both productions for their trust and partnership.

As the industry turns its attention to the Emmy Awards this weekend, we are thrilled to see our work represented on such iconic projects and wish both Andor and The Rings of Power the very best of luck.
